Katonya Trent

Katonya Trent is a passionate advocate of premature birth, drawing on her own traumatic birth experience to create the organization Konnected Thru 22. Her personal story is chronicled in her memoir, "22 And 6 Born on 11/26," which shares the harrowing tale of delivering her son at home alone when he was just 22 weeks and 6 days old. This unexpected arrival left both their lives in danger, but with the help of guardian angels and strong faith, Katonya persevered through the challenges of a four-month NICU journey.

Through her memoir and work with Konnected Thru 22, Katonya hopes to shed light on the realities of premature birth and provide support and resources for families going through a similar experience. Konnected Thru 22 offers a safe and uplifting space for families with premature babies to connect through stories and resources while supporting one another.

Katonya's unwavering love and resilience in the face of adversity is a true inspiration to those around her. Her memoir is a testament to the power of perseverance and the strength of the human spirit, and a reminder that hope can always be found in even the most difficult of circumstances.
